Setting up a company in France involves choosing the legal form (SASU, SARL, EURL, micro-enterprise…), drafting the articles of association, registering at the INPI one-stop shop, building financial projections and choosing the right tax and social regime. Your questions about
company formation

  • Can a foreigner set up a company in France?

Yes. EU and EEA citizens can freely create and run a French company. Non-EU citizens can too, but the formalities depend on their residence situation (some statuses require a specific permit to run a business in France). We help you identify the right structure and complete the registration.

  • Which legal form should I choose: SAS, SARL, EURL or micro-enterprise?

The choice drives your taxation, your social security regime as a director and your ability to bring in investors. A micro-enterprise is the simplest for testing a solo activity under revenue thresholds; SASU/SAS offer flexibility and an employee-like social regime; SARL/EURL suit family businesses with lower social contributions. We run a figures-based comparison before you commit.

  • How is a French company registered?

Since 2023, all registrations go through the INPI one-stop shop (Guichet unique). We prepare the file - articles of association, capital deposit, director declarations, beneficial-owner register - and handle the online registration until you receive your Kbis (certificate of incorporation).
